About Lock Doctor Locksmith

Lock Doctor Locksmiths is an independent, locally owned locksmith business based in Melton Mowbray, serving Leicestershire, Rutland and the surrounding areas. It was founded and is run by Malcolm Green, who has years of hands-on experience as a locksmith. The business is mobile, so Malcolm comes to the customer.

The services listed are emergency entry, lock replacements and upgrades, uPVC door and window repairs, smart lock installation, vehicle entry and garage door repairs. The business describes its work as covering the home, vehicle and business. For commercial clients it offers access control systems and master key suites.

The business also lists garage door repairs and installation, master key systems, security assessments and advice, door and frame repairs, and mobile key cutting including car and motorcycle keys. Emergency work includes removing broken keys and temporarily securing a property after a break-in or vandalism. It describes locks and parts as carefully selected and fitted, and the website names responsiveness, quality and trust as the values behind the service.

Malcolm Green set up Lock Doctor Locksmiths and still runs it as a locally owned business based in Melton Mowbray. Customers come from across Leicestershire, Rutland and the surrounding area, and the phone is answered at any hour on any day.

The service menu runs from emergency entry and lock upgrades to commercial security, garage door repairs and installation, smart lock fitting, and security assessments with advice. Parts fitted carry a 12 month cover on the business's own terms, and the site notes that its services page is still being expanded with more detail.

Emergency work covers getting into houses, offices and other business premises without damage, along with snapped keys and break-ins. On uPVC it repairs stiff or jammed mechanisms and dropped doors that will not close. Failed handles, hinges and multipoint locks are replaced, as are worn locking strips and broken window locks, and it carries parts so it can repair rather than replace.

Vehicle work centres on cars with keys locked inside, and the van cuts keys on site, car and motorcycle keys included. Garage doors are repaired and installed, and smart locks are fitted for homes.
