About Swm Locks Glass and Double Glazing Repairs
SWM Locks, Glass & Double Glazing Repairs is Steve, a locksmith who is also a glazier and a carpenter, working out of Leominster in Herefordshire. The website lists Leominster, Hereford, Ludlow, Bromyard, Kington and Tenbury Wells and the villages between, and says that covering all three trades means a lock, a door and a window can be dealt with in one visit.
Locksmith work includes lockouts using non-destructive entry where the lock allows it, opening euro cylinder and mortice locks and uPVC multipoint doors, extracting snapped keys, and repairing or replacing jammed, sticking and failed locks. Dropped uPVC doors are realigned, and hinges, handles and jammed multipoint mechanisms are replaced or freed.
The glazing side covers misted, blown and cracked sealed units replaced in existing frames, window repairs and replacement, and conservatory glass, roofs and doors. Door fitting covers hanging and easing doors, repairing frames and morticing in locks. The website says locks are repaired where possible, and that the price is agreed before work starts.
About Swm Locks Glass and Double Glazing Repairs
Steve is the whole business, and the site explains that he handles the lock, the panes and the door frame himself, so one visit can cover a jammed lock and a dropped door together.
His stated approach is to repair first. Figures are agreed before work begins.
His round takes in Leominster and Hereford, Kington and Bromyard, Ludlow and Tenbury Wells and the country around them, with evening, weekend and bank holiday call outs.
One customer locked out on a Saturday had the sticking lock behind it changed during the same visit, and another had a jammed uPVC mechanism freed after a morning call.
Work Swm Locks Glass and Double Glazing Repairs names
Lockout entry is tried without drilling first, on euro cylinders, mortice locks and uPVC multipoint doors; where a lock has failed inside, a new one goes straight in. Jammed or failed locks are freed or replaced, with multipoint gearboxes matched to the manufacturer and backset. Cylinders are changed or rekeyed after a house move, lost key or tenant change. Dropped doors are realigned and hinges and handles replaced.
