About T E Hughes & Son Ltd
T E Hughes & Son Ltd is a family-run hardware and DIY business based in Great Sutton, established in 1961 by Tecwyn Hughes and Peter Robbins. The business stocks power tools, locksmithing supplies, ironmongery, hand tools, fixings, building materials, chemicals and cleaning products. It serves domestic customers, trade customers and multinational corporations from two shops in Great Sutton and Warrington, and delivers products around the UK and internationally via couriers.
The business searches out hard-to-find fixings and spare parts on request and advises on DIY and gardening tasks. T E Hughes & Son Ltd moved to its current premises in Great Sutton in 1972, with a second shop opening in Warrington. Stuart Charnley joined in 1986 and David Hughes joined in 1988, the same year Tecwyn retired. The company changed its name to T E Hughes & Son Ltd in tribute to Tecwyn Hughes. The business exports to Europe.
