Britannia Master Locksmiths

About Britannia Master Locksmiths

Britannia Master Locksmiths is a locksmith business in Waterlooville run by Richard, a former HM Forces veteran. The business has been trading since 2005 and provides lock repairs, lock replacements, lock fitting and emergency lockout services for homes and businesses across Hampshire and West Sussex.

Services include fitting British Standard 3621 locks to doors and windows, uPVC multipoint locking systems, anti-snap locks, anti-drill locks, master key systems for commercial premises and landlords, intruder alarms, door entry systems and CCTV installation, security upgrades, free security checks, door and window glass replacement, and architectural ironmongery such as door handles, hinges and bolts. Richard assesses each property, discusses security needs, prepares the door, installs the lock, tests it and demonstrates how to operate it.

The business covers Waterlooville and a five mile radius for emergency call-outs between 9am and 6pm. For security and lock repairs, Britannia serves between Hedge End and Bognor Regis, and along the A3 as far north as Bordon. Richard is fully insured and offers a 12 months warranty on all locks fitted. The business offers free quotations and free security checks. Discounts are available for people moving home, older people, Armed Forces members, Emergency Services workers, NHS staff and repeat customers.

Richard runs the business himself and invites contact by text, phone or email rather than through a call centre. He links the way he works to his years in the armed forces, and dates his trading in Hampshire to 2005, which puts him past 20 years on the tools.

Waterlooville is the base, with work reaching out through Hampshire and into West Sussex. For emergency callouts the site draws a tighter line: a 5 mile radius around Waterlooville, between 9am and 6pm. Alongside lock work the site lists architectural ironmongery as a separate service, and offers advice on security for homes and commercial premises with no obligation attached.

uPVC doors lead the list. Richard describes first assessing which multipoint mechanism a door already has and what locks are fitted, then talking through the level of security wanted, including anti-snap and anti-drill cylinders. He fits BS3621 locks to doors and window locks to frames. Break-ins are covered too: after a burglary he repairs damaged locks and makes the property secure again. Architectural ironmongery, the handles, hinges and closers on a door, is listed as its own line of work.
